SM100 highlight and Cabin for sale at Braley Pond · 6 September 2007
Sorry folks, only highlights from the Shenandoah Mountatin 100 this year. Check here for Jack’s pics. Another great SM100. Jeff Schalk had an impressive ride, as did Harlan Price. Sue Haywood slaughtered the womens field. She is definetely in a class by herself. It was great to see Flyod Landis and his family at the race as well. They are very nice people. As always Chris Scott did an awesome job organizing the race. Enough words…..More picture will go up as I sort through them.
Also I have a cabin for sale 3 miles from Braley Pond. It is a family property we have decided to sell. You can check it out here
Gonna sell my Mini-van on ebay soon….Starting bid, $1, no reserve. I will put up the link when the auction starts.
Blog Fog.... · 2 June 2007
Not much going on in the blog these days….mostly because I hate written words and numbers. They are not my strong point. Today was The CSC Invitaional. It was fun….talked to a lot of people I hadn’t seen for a while.
More on the race later….

Mostly alive...... · 18 April 2007
It has been a while since I updated the site, but I’m back and (somewhat) motivated.
Just got off of a plane from Tempe. Survived yet another Ironman. I think this was my 7th(?) as a mechanic. There is nothing like 8 days of fixing Huffys in the desert followed by 8 nights of less than healthy behavior. After every race I swear I am never going back…. but I always do.
Tour of Virginia starts next Tuesday and I am there for at least 5 stages, including 2 road stages on a motor. It should be a blast. Working on a highlights gallery from the last 3 years. Should have it up in a day or two.
Cyclocross Nationals - Day 1 · 16 December 2006
Well, I missed the first day of Cyclocross National again this year. Only this year instead of missing miserable weather, I missed my friends Dee Dee and Fred winning National Championships. Dee Dee Winfield won the Woman’s 30+ and Fred Wittwer won the Men’s 55+. Way to go guys!!!
This picture is from Buck.

Things are looking up... · 21 September 2006
September is turning out to be a very successful month for Buffalo2step. Let’s see, I have picture that are actually in print! There is a picture of First Endurance’s Robert Kunz in the October issue of Triathlete Magazine…..Blue Competition Cycles is using a picture of Tina Pic for their 2007 catalog….Michelin is using a picture for their 2007 product catalog…..Metro Sports/Washington has been using pictures off and on through the summer and Blue Ridge Outdoors is using my stuff again. Plenty on the internet as well…..lots of stuff on www.cyclingnews.com, some on www.pezcyclingnews.com and tons of other sites. There might be something to this photography thing after all…..

Local Heros.... · 12 September 2006
So the season has pretty much wound down….and there are two names that stand out in my mind for 2006. Not only because they are local, but because they left a HUGE footprint on the National racing scene. They are Ben King and Andrea Dvorak. Both are now Charlottesville Racing Club alumni. Ben was picked up by Hot Tubes at the end of last year. Andrea was just picked up the Colavita women’s team last week. Both had breakout years.
Ben crushed all year. Numbers and placing say nothing of his ability. The result are too numerable to mention….Among them are 2nd in the Junior Tour of Ireland, 36th Junior World TT, 1st Walnut Creek Xterra and so on. Above all, he is a very nice, very unassuming guy. He needs to stop calling me Mr. McCarrick, it makes me feel old. Andrea kicked ass all year, and was always a factor in the BIG National caliber womens races. Colavita didn’t know what to do about her….so they they hired her. She should be racing in Europe next year!!! Well done!
SM100 pictures are all up · 6 September 2006
Well, last year it took me a month to get pictures up. I am a little more on top of things this year. They are here
or click on Purchase Print. Everything that I have is up….sorry if I missed you!
SM100 · 4 September 2006
Sunday was the Shenandoah Mountain 100. This was my 4th SM100 as a photographer. It couldn’t be simpler for me, I have a cabin 2 mile from the race course…this race is in my back yard! Jeremiah Bishop was flying, he took something like 8 minutes off of the old course record. The time was 7:15 for a century off-road! Jeremiah has unbelieve fitness right now. Sue Haywood took the Woman’s race by something like 45 minute. It was all Trek-VW.

18 hours of fun in Goochland · 21 August 2006
Monday morning and I am not feeling THAT bad. Raced the 18 Hours On The Farm race in Goochland over the weekend. Not solo…on a relay team. It was a a fun event and I felt OK on the bike. That being said….everything hurts this morning, but in a good way. No permanent damage, just fatigue. Trying to get pictures, race, eat and sleep was challenging. There are some good picture, but not a whole lot of them. They should be up in the next day or two. See you at the SM100!
